We (Mum and Daughter Mary and Andrea) launched our online ribbon store because we found that more and more department stores and craft shops were only selling ribbons and braids in reels, crafters buttons in packs of 100; dewdrops in bottles when only a few were required; fancy pins in packs of 100; beaded cord for decorating cakes in large, expensive reels and so on– it was becoming increasingly difficult to purchase small quantities! We only stock goods that we would buy ourselves so don’t cater for the mass market. We keep our delivery costs to a minimum and try to ensure all orders are dispatched the same day. We invite our readers and customers to visit our galleries which contains projects made by the Ribbon Girl Design Team and our customers or the inspirational ribbon girl blog.

I have been an artist for as long as I can remember and have always loved to create. Two years ago my sister-in-law invited me to a rubber stamp party. While digital stamping is relatively new in the paper crafting scene, it is what I believe to be such an amazing tool. Printed images have such clarity and vibrancy and gone is the need to re stamp an image because you didn't press hard enough or maybe you pressed too hard! They are also a lot easier to store and they can be reprinted over and over again. The fact that you can rotate and flip files, print them off the size of a postage stamp or as large as a scrapbook page makes them such a versatile medium. It is my sincere hope that I can help anyone who has hesitations about using digital images to embrace these amazing creative tools.
